Oakwood Veneer 2009 Wood Veneer Design Contest Announced

The 2009 Wood Veneer Design Contest, with prizes for first place, and a prize for every entrant has been announced by Oakwood Veneer Company Peter Rodgers. Designers should submit their photos to Oakwood Veneer by email or mail.

(I-Newswire) November 16, 2009 - Wood veneer supplier Oakwood Veneer Company, of Troy, Michigan, introduced its 2009 Wood Veneer Design Contest on Monday. The grand prize winner will receive $100 toward a wood veneer purchase, and will be featured on the Oakwood Veneer website and in an Oakwood Veneer press release. Everyone who enters will receive ten dollars towards a veneer or edgebanding purchase of fifty dollars or more.

“We know that many of our customers are building some of the most visually stunning projects you’ve ever seen,” said Oakwood Veneer’s owner Peter Rodgers. “This is our way to showcase their talents. The other day I saw a fantastic curio cabinet made with stained cherry veneer and walnut burl veneer inlays. A month ago I saw a ten foot dining room table made with carbonized bamboo veneer.”

Top entries will be displayed on Oakwood Veneer's website in the gallery section. Pictures will be linked back to the contestant's website, which can help them gain targeted traffic.

“We tried to make entering as easy as possible,” Rodgers said. “Simply email the pictures or use real mail. Don’t forget to include your name and your website, though.”

Entrants should pick between one and five of the best pictures of their designs. Picture files can be sent to peter@oakwoodveneer.com or photos can be sent to 1830 Stephenson Hwy Suite A, Troy, MI 48083. Friday, December 18, 2009 is the final deadline.
