Oakland Stairlifts Announce New Support For Reconditioned Curved Stairlifts

Oakland Stairlifts, a Leicester-based supplier of assistive technologies, announced today their range of reconditioned stairlifts now supports curved variants.

Leicester (I-Newswire) January 28, 2013 - When an individual finds themself in sincere need of assistive technology, it’s usually beyond being a simple option and has become a necessity. Maintaining a degree of independence in one’s own home is absolutely essential, and it’s unfortunate that the prohibitive costs involved in designing, creating and selling stairlifts make this difficult, especially with the government making sizeable cuts to benefits for those with impaired mobility.

Oakland Stairlifts have long supplied customers with the option of purchasing a reconditioned straight stairlift, at a fraction of the cost compared to buying new. They also extend a stair alteration service towards customers with architecturally difficult homes, allowing them to avoid an expensive, curved lift for a more convenient straight-railed stairlift instead. Oakland Stairlifts are now extending their range of reconditioned stairlifts to include a limited number of curved models, to support customers on tight finances who cannot alter their home.

A customer service representative from the company took the time to comment on this addition to their stock, and the reasons for introducing the offer. “For a long time we’ve prided ourselves on trying to keep things affordable for our customers, especially as we thrive on positive word of mouth. Our free home assessments have always been a way of reaching out to customers and communicating financially viable options to them. Curved stairlifts are considerably more expensive to design and install, but we see no reason why they shouldn’t be available at discount prices as well.”

Their entire reconditioned range is subject to a twenty two point check system. Worn parts are replaced and loads are tested until the stairlift is returned to effective showroom condition. These can then be sold on at a considerably reduced price.

If customers are interested in purchasing one of Oakland’s new reconditioned curved stairlift models they can enquire by phone or online form, as seen on their website. Curved stairlifts are less common than straight ones, and they have a limited, constantly changing stock available. A helpful member of the customer service team will always be at hand to explain availability to potential customers and help them find a cost-effective mobility aid for their home.

Oakland Stairlifts are a Leicester based supplier of scooters, wheelchairs and a wide variety of stairlifts. They consistently try to offer their customers mobility solutions appropriate to their finances and living situation, and intend to continue doing so for many years to come.
