Online, May 3, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Hologic, Inc. (Hologic or the Company) (Nasdaq: HOLX) today announced the launch of its "Get Back to Life" patient video contest for NovaSure®, the company's endometrial ablation product for the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding.

The contest is open to the more than one million women who have chosen NovaSure to stop their periods from controlling their lives. Through the contest, Hologic invites patients who used to suffer from heavy periods to create a compelling video about how they were able to "get back to life" after having the NovaSure procedure. Winning videos will be used to inspire and educate women about heavy periods and the benefits of NovaSure.
The public will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite videos. The first place winner will earn the grand prize of $2000. Additionally, three runners up will each receive $1500 and a series of honorable mentions will each receive $1000.
Submissions will be accepted April 25 - May 29, 2011, and voting will be open to the public June 6 - June 26, 2011.
