The Northwest Golfer - Washington Edition, shows golfers what they’ll find at each of the state’s 201 public courses. According to the author, KiKi Canniff, “Some of those locations have more than one golf course; there are 218 in all.”

Pacific Northwest (I-Newswire) December 14, 2011 - Northwest golfers will find 201 courses in the state of Washington where the public is welcome; several of these locations offer more than one course. All are detailed in The Northwest Golfer - Washington Edition recently published by One More Press. Available from Amazon.com, this is the 25th Anniversary Edition of the book; it was first published in 1987.

According to the author, KiKi Canniff, “If you play every course, you’ll see some of the state’s most beautiful landscapes. Golfers in Washington are treated to gorgeous views; you can see at least one snow-capped mountain from dozens of the state’s courses. Mount St. Helens, Mt. Rainier and Mt Adams are among the most beautiful, but there are numerous other mountain peaks in this state that also provide a gorgeous backdrop for a game of golf.

“The land’s natural features have been worked into the design of most Washington golf courses, transforming natural beauty into course hazards. You can golf within sight of the San Juan Islands, next to the Columbia River, or alongside dozens of rushing rivers and quiet waterways. Wet encounters for this state’s golfers not only include rushing rivers, but they will also find waterfalls, lakes, wetlands and creeks.

“Multiple-hole courses are popular in Washington. In Redmond, at Willows Run Golf Club you can choose from a total of 45 holes. And, there are several courses in the state that offer 36 holes; you’ll find double 18’s in Blaine, Bremerton, Lacey and Bellevue. Triple nine-hole courses are located in Burlington, Chehalis, Port Ludlow, Fort Lewis and Puyallup. And in Kent and Tacoma they have courses with a combination of both 9 and 18 holes.”

Ms. Canniff has included complete details on all 218 courses in The Northwest Golfer – Washington Edition; the reader will discover if a course takes reservations, what they charge, when discount rates are available, what type of hazards they will encounter, who designed the course, what type of rental equipment is available, if food or drink is served on site, and a whole lot more. She has also provided an easy way for a local golfer to play every course in the state.
