North Idaho Business Giving Free Help to 12 Homeowners in 2010

(I-Newswire) January 30, 2010 - Priest River, Idaho, January 30, 2010 – Scott Whitman, Owner of NBR Home Services wants to give away his services & skills to struggling homeowners and needs the community’s help in identifying those homeowners. NBR Home Services will be providing free basic handyman services to a homeowner in Bonner, Boundary or Kootenai County, starting with two homeowners in February 2010, then one each month after through the rest of year.

"With the New Year here, I realize that I’ve been blessed in my life and during these harder economic times there are good people out there struggling because of job loss or other circumstances.” says NBR Home Services’ Owner Scott Whitman. "I’d like to be able to do what I can for others. Someone may have lost their spouse that was the one to do the little jobs like weather-proofing or repairing a deck railing. I know there are people like that out there and I need the communities help in finding twelve people who need my help the most this year.”

Mr. Whitman wants to evenly spread out the free handyman help to homeowners so he will be picking four from each Bonner, Boundary and Kootenai Counties. “I’d like the first homeowner to be from Priest River, Idaho since that’s where my business is located.” Whitman said “Then from there, go out to other cities like Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, and Coeur d’Alene. Unfortunately, things are tight all around, so while I’m able to provide my services, the homeowner needs to be able to provide the materials that might be needed. If other business owners would like to team up and contribute any materials please contact me.”

To nominate a homeowner for consideration please send a short essay about the person, what work they need done, and why they would benefit from NBR Home Services help. Please include your contact information so you can be reached if your homeowner is chosen. All nominations must be received by February 15, 2010 so that the first two homeowners for February can be selected.
