NKHenry Presents: Accessories The Workshop

Philadelphia,Pa (I-Newswire) January 20, 2012 - NKHenry has brought back their exclusive fashion jewelry and accessories workshops, largely hosted by the brands’ designer, Nikki Henry. Workshops kick off in February and run through mid-March.

The workshops have shifted from its’ original concept in 2009-mini classes which focused on seasonal accessory styling, to its new hands-on interactive experience- where fashion enthusiasts can learn how to make their own pieces modeled after some of the brands popular collection items.

Each workshop will focus on creating a single accessory, wherein participants will get step-by-step- instruction, plus free time to create additional variations. Refresher manuals with step-by-step instructions will also be available for participants to recreate pieces again following the event.

"Fashion careers often seems inaccessible to many and these workshops offer a glimpse of what it could be like to work in that world- with a platform provided by an emerging designer brand", adds the designer.

So participants not only take home a lovely piece or two, it will possibly stir their interest in pursing a career in fashion as well.

As a self taught entrepreneur, I can show other fashion enthusiasts, by example, that one doesn't always need a formal education to follow their dreams and these workshops can be the catalyst for just that".


The inaugural workshop is Arm Candy 101, where participants will create the uber popular studded leather bracelet, modeled after the brand’s “Covet” bracelet. Additional workshops to be added include instruction on making leather earrings, bib necklaces and more. Workshops are from $69-$115.
