New NHS Dental Practice gives Chislehurst a reason to smile

(I-Newswire) January 28, 2010 - The new surgery, situated on Belmont Parade, Green Lane, opened on 4th January and has already signed hundreds of patients. As well as offering private treatment, there is space for 500 NHS patients and owner, Dr Ben Mortazavi, is eager to increase this number in the near future.

Dr Mortazavi says "It is important for everyone to have the option of an NHS dentist, especially given the current economic climate."

It is believed there has been a nationwide slump in attendances at dental surgeries during the recession, with fewer people having regular check-ups and opting to visit a dentist only when in need of emergency treatment.

As one of the few practices in the area to be taking new NHS patients, Smile4u offers a welcome choice to Bromley residents. Mr Deacon, a Smile4u patient, says "it was such a relief to be able to find an NHS practice. I have been looking for one for a long time, but it's very difficult to find one nearby."

Smile4u was established three years ago and Dr Mortazavi has a second surgery in Wadhurst, near Tunbridge Wells, which has nearly 2,500 NHS patients. He has been a qualified dentist for over 17 years and patient care is at the top of his list of priorities.

The state-of-the-art practice also boasts the latest technology, with needle-free injections, a dedicated sterilisation room, and even a Cerec 3 ceramic studio, which allows patients to have crowns and veneers fitted in one visit.
