New Mexico Tech Tirms Team Up To Provide Full-Service Mobile Applications To Restaurants

Albuquerque, NM (I-Newswire) July 1, 2011 - What happens when the founders of three tech-based companies who all serve the restaurant industry decide to work together? In short, restaurants and diners win. The three companies, APPCityLife, Inc, Liquid Common LLC, and POSLavu creators Lavu Inc, aim to change the way restaurants market their clientele and the way consumers order take-out and interact with their favorite restaurants.
Through seamless integration of the companies’ unique technologies, restaurateurs can serve up a complete mobile marketing strategy including mobile-friendly websites and mobile applications complete with in-app take-out ordering, event schedules, reservations and more.
“During our initial rollout, we spoke with hundreds of restaurateurs. This really gave us a firm grasp on their pain points,” says Josh Bennet, Founder of Liquid Common. “At the end of the day, restaurateurs simply wanted for someone to remove the confusion from the process so they could interact with their customers in a meaningful way. By each of our companies bringing what we do best to the table, we are able to deliver an affordable and straightforward solution for our clients and reach consumers on the platforms they prefer. Everybody wins.”
Liquid Common currently serves the restaurant industry in several cities including Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Denver. Through the new partnership, Bennet’s company will serve as a one-stop resource for restaurants ready to build new innovative mobile applications.
Since 2009 POSLavu has provided innovative point of sale systems for restaurants of all sizes, creating software with hardware packages that take advantage of the iPad’s touch technology and wireless communication on the cloud. Over 250 restaurants worldwide already use POSLavu’s stable app. Thanks to the new partnership with Liquid Common and APPCityLife, POSLavu’s powerful ordering systems will now be converted to allow restaurants to feature full take-out menus, complete with photos, descriptions, prices, and payment for orders through the mobile app.
POSLavu founders Andy Lim and Corey Fiala have grown the company to include a dozen team members in Albuquerque and dozens more certified distributors in key cities across the globe. While traditional restaurants have been POSLavu’s top client, other businesses have also shown a strong interest in adopting the POSLavu system, including microbreweries, nightclubs, mobile food trucks and coffee shops. “We started this product by trying to do the right thing”, says Andy Lim, “and we are grateful to have the opportunity to grow and help so many more restaurateurs”.
Restaurant owner Carey Sobel has implemented the POSLavu system into his recently opened Orlando, FL-based restaurant, Terrace 390. Sobel was looking for a unique twist that would make his restaurant stand out when he discovered POSLavu. “I think POSLavu is the wave of the future and I want to be a part of the revolution,” said Sobel. While Sobel says the system contributes to a more efficient business, he also recognizes that there is a fun side to the product, “I like the wow factor that it (POSLavu) brings; customers like seeing a photos of the menu items and having their credit card scanned at their table, in plain view.”
Through a sophisticated integration of technologies, content from the extensive data base and software of both Liquid Common and POSLavu will be seamlessly integrated into the patented mobile app publishing platform of APPCityLife. Founded in late 2009 to offer up free CityLife guides to communities, APPCityLife has recently started building affordable mobile applications for local businesses. Currently serving the cities of Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, the company is expanding into seven additional cities nationwide by 2012.
“We see this as an excellent opportunity to bring the individual strengths of each of our companies together to offer one monster of a platform that will allow restaurants to do things never really possible before now, from serving up geo-located promotions and events to in-app purchasing, videos, photos and social media interaction all for much, much less than they would normally pay for a single commercial campaign,” says Lisa Abeyta, Founder and President of APPCityLife. “Mobile marketing is no longer the wave of the future. The future is here. We don’t do banner ads; we think consumers and clients deserve better. Instead, we build real applications that let companies interact with their clients in ways that are relevant and valuable to both.”
And good news for small businesses outside the restaurant industries: the three companies are also looking at ways to continue their partnership to serve additional business sectors.
