New Cristie Software Solution Enables An Automated Process For Migration To The Cloud


Cristie Software announce latest solution CloneManager, a new software product for migration and cloning.

Stroud (I-Newswire) October 10, 2012 - Cristie Software today announced that it will shortly be releasing CloneManager, a new software product for migration and cloning. CloneManager provides a simple automated process for moving or copying physical or virtual machines to cloud and other environments. It is seamlessly integrated with VMware vCloud Director and other cloud management software.

CloneManager migrations can be either real time (live) or staged to an intermediate storage device. It also provides a discovery service which will be used to monitor the utilization of memory, processing, storage and network resources on source machines prior to migration so that the target machines can be correctly provisioned. In addition it provides the ability to periodically synchronize the target machine with the source machine thereby creating a warm clone that can be used for DR. The software also allows a range of configuration options to be specified or changed on the target machine - either in advance or during the migration process.
