On Saturday, December 8th, The UBC-TV Network launches with the first ever live nationwide TV broadcast of an ABA Basketball game.

What: On Saturday, December 8th, The UBC-TV Network launches with the first ever live nationwide TV broadcast of an ABA Basketball game. The ABA is the most diversified professional sports league ever with nearly 75% of its teams owned by African-Americans & Hispanics. Playing with the red, white and blue ball introduced in the original ABA that featured, Julius "Dr. J" Erving, George Gervin, Spencer Haywood, Moses Malone and other legends, teams are made of up former NBA players, NCAA Division 1 & 2 players The broadcast will feature exciting game action between teams the Jersey Express & The Connecticut Topballers, The national Anthem sung by former NBA guard Kareem Rush, Halftime performance by singing group Anthem, the interview lounge and a special halftime "wish grant" presentation made by UBC-TV & the Healthy Hero Campaign to 83 Year old Veteran Frederick Ortiz and his wife Lorraine.
The Ortiz Family lives in Little Ferry, New Jersey. Last year they sustained over $60,000 in damage from Hurricane Irene during the floods. They had not fully recovered and recently found themselves flooded again due to Hurricane Sandy. Their house was uninhabitable, they were displaced and now they are in the rebuilding phase.
Healthy Hero is a fitness and wellness inspired campaign, founded by Jill Pavel, to help raise awareness and funding for non -profit charities across the United States. Since April 2012 over 300 gyms nationwide have participated in hosted fitness classes and fundraisers for this campaign with Thousands more joining the Healthy Hero Campaign through 2013.
