New App Brings Workflow Automation to Schools
QManager's Reduces Bottlenecks and Simplifies the Sign-in / Sign-out Process
Bellevue (I-Newswire) December 22, 2013 - A new app by Bellevue-based Mobile Queue Technologies, Inc solves the problem of school arrivals and departures, the most chaotic and frustrating part of the school day. This mobile turnkey solution for tablets and smartphones has already been adopted by 11 private schools and two daycares, translating to less-stressed teachers and administrators and over 5000 happier parents and guardians.
Existing methods in place, including the old-fashioned paper signature method, are cumbersome and slow. "A lot of schools may already have an older 'desktop' type solution but our mobile solution is much more robust and stable" explains founder and CEO Moazzam Ahmed. QManager is also a fully-electronic green solution, reducing unnecessary use of paper.
Built on top of the school's existing security procedures, QManager requires the school to first enroll a parent into their system with a unique key. Schools and parents can also authorize other specific adults, such as a nanny or grandparent. This unique key is used to register parents' smartphone into the QManager system, similar to how many other mobile apps authorize usage. When the parent or authorized adult arrives at the school, they can check-in and sign for their child from the comfort of their car with QManager on their smartphone. Those who don't have a smartphone can sign in on the school's iPad. The administrator can also see the location of the parent on their iPad so that staff members can bring the child outside. This allows for the dismissal line to move faster and more efficiently.
QManager not only captures and stores the parent's signature, but also timestamps the child's arrival and dismissal. This information is often requested by state officials. Authorized school staff can access this information via QManager's secure servers and easily view when and with whom a child has gone home. All communication between the parent's phone and the school is encrypted.
Using QManager, schools and daycare centers can save up to $75/day by using fewer resources for during arrivals and dismissal, increase security, and reduce chaos. Parents and students save time and can get home sooner. Less traffic congestion also means that the school's neighbors are happier.
The app is free for parents to download and available at a minimal, no-contract monthly cost for schools. Patent pending. For more information, visit www.SignInSignOut.net
QManager was created by a parent who saw an opportunity to make arrivals and dismissals faster. As a More.. result, Moazzam Ahmed drew on 17-years of experience in process improvement to partner with the school and build a mobile sign-in/sign-out solution. His vision is to help both schools and parents save time and resources by reducing the chaos around arrivals and dismissals.
