Naye Zamane Ki Nayi Dhun: Radio Mantra Changes Itself With The Changing Times And Unveils New Programming

After conducting a primary research in all its 8 cities of operations, Radio Mantra has revamped according to the listeners choice!

Radio Mantra has taken another leap and has changed with its ever evolving audience. Mantra started 'Janta Ka Mantra', a month long campaign to know its listeners better and the new FCP (Fixed Point Chart) was unveiled on 12th of May'2011.

The process started a month ago when Radio Mantra started collating data from all it's cities of operation. Radio Mantra conducted the study to know the audience preferences and invited valuable insights and suggestions from the listeners to get more closer to their hearts. Apart from the newspaper, the survey was also conducted online, using Mantra's Facebook application.

Talking about the campaign, Kanwar Sameer, National Programming Head, Radio Mantra said," We really wanted to touch base with the audience to get the first hand feedback and accordingly realign ourselves to their needs and wants, hence 'Janta Ka Mantra' was rolled out. We wanted to go beyond the IRS and hit the right chord for which the quintessential part was 'hearing it from the horse's mouth'. We were on the right track but I'm extremely thankful to our listeners for their valuable feedback as the survey result now has surely given us the right direction. I'm confident that the changes will be liked by the listeners and will take Mantra to the next level."

The station will now don a completely changed sound, from station jingle to show intros to other interstitials along with a couple of new shows. Mantra has also reworked upon their library and will churn out more music, with more variety every hour, varying from Sufi toElaborating on the new shows, Kanwar Sameer said,"Keeping in mind the significant demand for retro music, we have introduced an exclusive retro music show called 'Action Replay' from 11am - 1pm. 'Action Replay' is all about evergreen songs from 80's & 90's and trivia regrading songs, artists and movies from the same era. For Bollywood lovers, we now have a dedicated filmy show from 4 to 6pm, 'Ticket to Bollywood' which promises to bring listeners closer to their favorite stars with exclusive interviews & gossips." Fusion, Ghazals to Pop and Mehbooba to Munni.

Apart from the new shows, Mantra has shifted their current request show; 'Mera Wala Hit' from late mornings to the afternoon time band: 1 to 4 pm. The audience will also get double dose of devotional music and spiritual talk as 'Arpan' will be a 2 hour show, from 5 to 7 am. For better local connect, Mantra has also incorporated regular show features like 'City Ka Khabri', 'City Ka Zaiqa' and 'City Ka Sitara' to highlight news & happenings, delicacies and celebrities of the city.

With these changes and an interesting make-over, Mantra has kept it's promise of keeping up with the audience's pace and be their 'Life Ka Mantra'!
