Michael Doven, a master photographer, will be presenting a special seminar to help artists market themselves in Nashville, Tennessee mid February.

Nashville, TN (I-Newswire) February 8, 2011 - According to a survey done of artists in the Nashville area in 2011, “making oneself known” is a difficult task to undertake and something which most do not know how to accomplish. This is why Michael Doven, who has been named by Nikon Magazine, “Photography’s Next Rock Star” is flying into Nashville to deliver the seminar: How to Present Yourself to the World’s Market on February 19th at the Church of Scientology.

Doven is a world-renowned photographer who has traveled extensively, shooting photos from Colorado to Peru and all the way down to Nepal.

He has additionally dipped his hand in the film industry with credits to his name from such blockbusters as A Few Good Men, Interview with a Vampire, Mission Impossible, Jerry Maguire, Magnolia, Minority Report, the Last Samurai, Collateral and War of the Worlds.

In November 2010, Doven began Doven Consulting, a group which helps artists and businesses assess their situation, organize themselves, market, and manage their work easily. “I formed DOVEN Consulting with the intention of helping others attain their goals,” says Doven.

His seminar on February 19th is aimed at helping people improve their marketing skills, branding and promotion.

The Church of Scientology has offered to host the seminar. “We are proud to host these seminars to help artists and musicians to get a grip on what to do and where to go,” says Rev. Brian Fesler of the Church of Scientology. “Artists create the future with their dreams and work. It’s part of our religious mission to uplift the artist, and we do everything we can to make that happen.” Fesler says the seminars are not just for church members. “Anyone can attend. We’re all-denominational, and this seminar is about personal growth.”

Doven has been making striking images since 1977. By the age of 25, he had traveled extensively and logged trips to over 50 countries across the globe. He later embarked on a twenty year journey in feature film production in Hollywood where he was blessed, being able to watch, study and learn from some of the greatest directors of photography from around the world. By 1997, he received his degree in photography from the New York Institute of Photography. Since then he has continued traveling and shooting all over the world creating images with his unique eye for composition and knowledge of the medium.

The Church of Scientology is in Nashville’s historic Fall School building at 1130 8th Ave S. Doors open for Michael Doven’s seminar at 9:00am on February 19. $20 admission includes a book by L. Ron Hubbard and refreshments. For more information, contact Julie Forney at 615-687-4600.

About Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre Nashville:
Developed by L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology is a religion that offers a precise path leading to a complete and certain understanding of one’s true spiritual nature and one’s relationship to self, family, groups, Mankind, all life forms, the material universe, the spiritual universe and the Supreme Being.

Scientology addresses the spirit—not the body or mind—and believes that Man is far more than a product of his environment, or his genes.

Scientology comprises a body of knowledge which extends from certain fundamental truths. Prime among these are:

Man is an immortal spiritual being.

His experience extends well beyond a single lifetime.

His capabilities are unlimited, even if not presently realized.

Scientology further holds Man to be basically good, and that his spiritual salvation depends upon himself, his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe.

Scientology is not a dogmatic religion in which one is asked to accept anything on faith alone. On the contrary, one discovers for oneself that the principles of Scientology are true by applying its principles and observing or experiencing the results.

The ultimate goal of Scientology is true spiritual enlightenment and freedom.
