Pioneered by the Italian physician Maria Montessori in 1907, the method gives children the freedom to learn at their own pace and to choose topics that hold their attention. It is popular in Scandinavia and in the US, and is usually applied to children under six. There are 631 registered private Montessori primary and nursery schools in the UK. Amanda Gilchrist, Montessori's Commercial & Marketing Manager said, "We chose mycleveragency because they had a can do attitude and a personable feel. Whilst being a small agency, they have extensive experience, particularly in the field of social media marketing and come from a big agency background".

Working closely with Montessori, mycleveragency have been helping them to build an online brand presence and increase engagement. They will work together to make an online space for teachers, students an advocates to get together and discuss issues and techniques surrounding Montessori, as well as encouraging newcomers to Montessori to get involved, "Montessori has a strong discussion appeal and by using social media, we hope to better engage with our existing audience of supporters as well as extending our reach to these online users who need to be better informed of the benefits of this approach to education" explained Amanda.
