(I-Newswire) May 17, 2010 - Suffering a terrible muscle pain doesn’t only dampen anyone’s spirit; it prevents anyone from being productive. A muscle pain causes great discomfort. It’s annoying and irritating. What more if that muscle pain is a back muscle pain? Then you’re in for a big trouble.

An agonizing back muscle pain can be caused by a lot of different things. Medical experts have found out the different causes of back muscle pain, and these are:  muscle pain triggered by trauma from a severe accident in the past; muscle pain from diseases, such as scoliosis and arthritis; and muscle pain from strained muscles, slipped discs, tussled nerve endings, and strained ligaments. Other studies also showed that the back muscle pain could be caused by long number of hours of sitting and standing, wearing extremely high heels and wrong sleeping position. If good posture is poorly practiced, then this could be a major contribution to the muscle pain. Wrong habits such as slouching, hunching, standing with weight transferred or staying unbalanced aggravates the pain.

While some may find that the muscle pain suffered comes from the spinal area, in some cases, it is found out that muscle pain comes from the strained soft tissues of the back. There’s a psychological study done that links back muscle pain to stress or tension that a person suffers from. Given the undisputed fact of the mind and the body being intertwined, it makes sense that a person laboring with the back muscle pain could have triggered it because of his/her internal stress. Psychological and emotional stresses such as anger and exasperation are identified as the cause of physical tensions. These tensions starts in the person’s most worked out muscles. This is the reason why a person experiences a tight feeling whenever he/she is anxious, tired or angry. As a negative effect, the muscles tense.

Curing a muscle pain varies too. Wrong therapies and treatments for back muscle pain can only worsen the problem. Even back surgeries, which were believed to give long-term cure for back muscle pain, are largely dangerous and unsafe because it can only worsen the situation.

There are ways to avoid back muscle pain, and these are: regular back exercises like a well executed yoga; practicing good posture; a good diet and avoiding everything you know would cause you pain. After all, like every doctors say, prevention is better than cure.
