Ms. America® Pageant Is Sunday, June 23, 2013

Online, June 17, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Single, divorced or married women 26 years of age and up from across the United States will compete in interview, sportswear, evening gown and on-stage question and one will be crowned Ms. America 2013. The 2013 Ms. America® Pageant promises to be an exciting event this Sunday - June 23rd 2013 at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa starting at 7:00 pm. Over $40,000 in gifts and prizes will be awarded at this year's pageant to all the contestants. Special Awards include the "Judges & People's Choice" award where the winner will be crowned, Ms. International 2013 and for women who are 40 years and up one will be chosen Ms. America International 2013.

From the world of Television and Modeling, Marshall Hilliard is an actor, host and fitness model for over 25 years. He began his career as a model for the Elite Modeling Agency in New York where he modeled all over the world and was featured in over 150 magazines including US, Fitness and Exercise and Health Magazines. In 1995 he landed a three year contract on the World's longest running television drama, The Guiding Light. He played the character 'Hart Jessup', son of Roger Thorpe. (Played by the multi Emmy award winner Michael Zaslow) He has since done over 200 episodes of television and has been doing a "double duty" for the last three years, playing a police officer on TWO different soap operas. He portrays 'Dylan' on Days of Our Lives, and 'Officer Marshall' on General Hospital. He has judge for over 200 pageants, talent shows and modeling conventions.

From the world of design and fashion, Rita Mezrahi, Founder and Creative Director of Claire's Collection, a couturier of glamorous evening gowns that have been worn by many celebrities in the spotlight - in music, film and television, national pageant winners and sports. These celebrities who have worn her couture gowns for their very special occasions, include Halle Berry (whose wedding gown was designed and created by Claire's Collection), Cindy Crawford, Sandra Bullock, Julie Andrews, Aretha Franklin, Shania Twain, Emma Samms, Nicolette Sheridan, Donna Mills, Kim Cattrall, Diahann Carroll, and Dolly Parton to name a few.

From the world of Entertainment, Carole Wells is an actress, singer, philanthropist, and was married to Larry Doheny of the famous family of Beverly Hills. Since the age of 12 she has appeared in 10 motion pictures, including "FUNNY LADY" with Barbara Streisand, and has made guest appearances in over 100 television shows. She starred in the series, National Velvet and Pistols "n" Petticoats. A professional singer, Carole has traveled the world singing opera for royalty and presidents. She even won the Humanitarian Award for her philanthropic work raising money for children's education. From the world of Medicine, Dr. John Anastasatos is a trusted Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He graduated Brown Medical School with Honors and then trained in surgery and plastic surgery at Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Anastasatos' pro bono reconstructive work on a gunshot victim to the face has received international attention. A sought after expert Dr. Anastasatos has been featured in newspapers and TV News programs such as ABC, Entertainment Tonight, NBC, and FOX and in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and many others.

From the world of Pageantry and Volunteer Service, Effie Horning has been involved in pageants for over 20 years and has judged many competitions from local through international levels including preliminary competition for the national Miss USA Pageant. She has not only been crowned several national titles herself but owned and directed the Ms. World pageant for 8 years before it was sold to the current Miss World Organization. She has been featured in magazines and seen on many celebrity fundraisers and red carpets in Hollywood including the Oscars and Golden Globe Awards. An international philanthropist she has received lifetime honors from the President of the United States for her 17,000 + volunteer hours and over 30 years of Lifetime Volunteerism.

From the world of Style and Makeup, Victor Paul has over two and a half decades of experience making women look beautiful. He has done hair and make up for numerous advertising campaigns and editorial fashion shoots, with his most recent work being seen on the new Winston Jewelers advertising and this season's Real Housewives of Orange County on Bravo. He personally has been written up in Orange Coast and ENJOY Life magazines, and has been featured on Good Day LA with Jillian Reynolds. Victor Paul is also a regular hair and make-up artist for Bravo's The Real Housewives of Orange County.
From the world of beauty, Tracy Broughton is a professional actress, model and speaker. She was crowned Ms. America in 2011 and made headline news world-wide for her amazing story of being the first disabled woman to win a national crown after the Doctors told her she would never walk again and was confined to a wheel chair for 11 years. A professional actress she has appeared on many TV shows including Beverly Hills 90210, Baywatch, Married with Children and Inside Edition. She has modeled for TV shows such as Extra, American Journal, and featured in many print campaigns. A professional speaker she is gives inspiration seminars about her experiences that inspires people to "Never Give Up!"

From the world of Fitness and Sports, Lauren Powers is a Celebrity Fitness Model, Actress, Diva, former fire fighter/engineer and 8 time Overall Fitness Champion, Lauren is known as the personality of bodybuilding. She has been a worldwide spokesperson for over a decade. Appearing in many films, commercial, magazines, and TV shows including E True Hollywood, Real Sports HBO, MSNBC, Inside Edition, numerous talk shows and yes the famous Lady GAGA video "Telephone" to name a few! Lauren believes that living a healthy lifestyle is the secret key to happiness. She is recently the founder and promoter of the LAUREN POWERS CLASSIC Fitness Extravaganza. From the world of Business, Dave Wabiszewski is an entrepreneur who has started and sold many successful companies. Recently he sold Brea Green Recycling which helped saved the environment and made the world a better and safer place. He recently started Kayla Lynn Charters out of Newport Beach, CA where he will host on Saturday night the Ms. America Pageant contestants on a Sunset Harbor Cruise.

Hosts for the 2013 Ms. America® Pageant will be Scott Stewart and Deana Molle'. Deana is the reigning Ms. International and former Ms. America 2004. She is currently on the new successful TRUETV Network show "Container Wars". The new season will be airing on July 21, 2013. Scott Stewart has been entertaining since the age of 12 when she was cast on the television show Quincy with Jack Klugman. He has appeared in numerous television shows, including Melrose Place, Chicago Hope, The Singing Bee, and even performed on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Commercial credits include Big Lots, Mitsubishi, and Big 5. He has hosted for The Academy of Country Music Association, Bob Hope's USO Show and Disneyland. Scot is currently the host and producer of the TV show What's Up Orange County that airs on KDOC, Time Warner and Cox Communications.
