Melbourne (I-Newswire) December 2, 2011 - At a ceremony held at the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong last night, Generation-e, Australia’s leading provider of unified communications and cloud based solutions, was announced as a member of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific List for 2011.

Having been acknowledged already this year as making the BRW Fast 100, Deloitte Technology Fast 50 and CRN Fast 50 Lists in Australia, this most recent accolade also awarded Generation-e for impressive growth.

Known for its mastery in deploying complex networking, cloud and unified communications solutions, Generation-e has grown by more than 150% over the last four years.

The trend that Generation-e has observed in the adoption of these powerhouse technologies is reflected in the industry. Thus far in 2011, the cloud has seen an amazing surge in popularity and Gartner anticipates that demand for the technology will continue to grow by around 60% per year until 2015. Similarly, Microsoft Lync, the crown jewel of Generation-e’s UC solutions, has been prestigiously placed in the Gartner Magic Quadrant this year which means that deploying it will be at the top of to do lists for switched on CIO’s.

The momentum of cloud and UC solutions means that they should consume a healthy proportion of the A$61.9 Billion Gartner anticipates will be spent on IT products and services in Australia in 2012.

“We are thrilled to be counted amongst the fastest moving technology companies in Asia Pacific, but this success is no accident. We have rapidly transitioned our IP telephony practice into voice technologies. This has involved retooling our business and achieving the highest levels of certification in order to become experts in Microsoft solutions.” Biagio La Rosa, Managing Director of Generation-e commented.

“The majority of companies considering a Lync deployment do not know that they already own the required licensing, and that they just need a trusted pair of hands to deploy it. There are lots of providers offering Lync services now, but we find that our skills in voice and our devotion to delivering exceptional solutions to customers sets us apart in the market,” La Rosa concluded.

By choosing Generation-e, one of only five Microsoft Gold Partners in Australia for Unified Communications, customers including the likes of Baker’s Delight, Vic Deaf, NHP and Bell Potter, have realised an increase in productivity of around 30% after deploying Lync.
