Motorcraft and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center Return to Sponsor NASCAR and NHRA Vehicles
For the 6th full season in a row, Motorcraft and Quick Lane are teaming up and will have their logos featured on the Wood Brothers' No. 21 Ford Fusion and on the NHRA Mustang Nitro Funny Car.
Online, July 10, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Terry's Ford in Peotone has revealed sponsorship details regarding Bob Tasca III's Nitro Ford Mustang Funny Car and the Wood Brothers' No. 21 Ford Fusion. Motorcraft and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center will be sponsoring both drivers and vehicles for the 2013 season. Bob Tasca III will be racing his Nitro Mustang for the National Hot Rod Association while the Wood Brothers will be racing their Ford Fusion for NASCAR.
Bob Tasca III was the first Ford driver to break the NHRA Funny Car four-second barrier during a semifinal race two weeks ago. His Motorcraft/Quick Lane Shelby Ford Mustang clocked a time of 3.988 seconds during the qualifying round and officially joined the three-second club. While Tasca III didn't get past the semifinals in this particular race, he only missed a top-10 spot by three points. However, being the first Ford driver to ever break the four-second mark was certainly cause for celebration, and only cemented his ability to make the Motorcraft and Quick Lane brands a staple in future races this season.
The Wood Brothers and their No. 21 Ford Fusion have certainly made a name for themselves in NASCAR. They have achieved five Daytona 500 victories and eleven Michigan International Speedway victories for Ford. This is just a sampling of their 98 recorded race victories over the span of their career, and they look to increase that number this season as they celebrated Ford's 1,000th NASCAR victory last month. Their driver, Trevor Bayne, is a Daytona 500 champion and will also be sponsored by Motorcraft and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center.
