Mother of Nickelodeon Star, Keke Palmer, Comes To Atlanta To Teach Parents How To Prepare Their Children For the Entertainment Spotlight

Sharon Palmer, mother of television and film actress Keke Palmer, will be a guest speaker at a two day workshop in Atlanta, which focuses on teaching parents how to get their children "camera ready" for the spotlight, and a career in entertainmen

Palmer's daughter Keke, got her early start in show business not only by her talent, but also as a result of her mother's hard work, persistence and preparation. That persistence later resulted in her daughter landing one of the lead roles in the film, "Akeelah and the Bee", as well as her current role on the Nickelodeon hit television series, "True Jackson, VP".

The two-day training session is part of a workshop series created by Atlanta-based producer and entertainment manager, Michelle Kuykendall. Kuykendall, who has extensive experience working in the entertainment industry, created the workshop as a platform to share her knowledge and experience with other parents and industry professionals. This includes having guest speakers like Palmer, who can help parents understand the sacrifice and training needed to successfully prepare their children for a career in entertainment. As an entertainment manager, Kuykendall has helped manage the careers of several young clients including her own son, BJ Mitchell. As his manager, Kuykendall has worked with her son on a variety of projects including commercials for Campbell's Soup and McDonald's - along with film and television projects such as, "The Fighting Temptations" which starred singer and actress Beyonce Knowles, the "Like Family" television series which starred actress Holly Robinson Peete, voice-over animation projects for the Cartoon Network, and most recently as a guest performer on the TBS television hit series, "Meet the Browns". In addition, other members of Kuykendall's talent network include actress Jessica Jarrell, who plays the character of Claire in the Nickelodeon film "School Gyrls", and is also featured on Justin Bierber's latest album, "My World 2.0".

The two day workshop will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, February 26th and Sunday, February 27th at the Double Tree Hotel, located at 2061 North Druid Hills Road in Atlanta, Georgia.
