Monvera Glass Decor Announces the Completion of Their Expansion Plan

With rising demand for screen printed labels, Monvera increases capacity and printing options.

Monvera Glass Decor, a leading provider of screen printed wine bottles has announced that the final phase of their expansion plan has been completed. The project was initiated over two years ago with the relocation to the Ford Point facility in Point Richmond, CA. In addition to been closer to local Bay Area Customers, the new 42,000 square foot space facilitated the installation of a third production line which was installed last Spring.

"We continue to see growing interest in screen printing on wine bottles as a labeling alternative to using paper" says Caitriona Anderson, Monvera's VP of Sales & Marketing. "We have already seen a great interest in the unique capabilities that our new printing equipment offers and we're excited to see where that will lead us in 2014. This expansion allows us to service larger accounts and keep up with market demand."

Monvera is leading the way in technology deployment and are the first decorator in North America to install a Fermac F06 CNC machine to that can print a full wrap screen print on spirit bottles in addition to wine bottles. In addition, CNC technology allows for perfect art registration and reproduction.

The machine is capable of printing on regular, oval and square shaped bottles, in addition to printing on the neck and shoulder of the bottle. The addition of second decorating lehr, improved automation and a spray coating treatment unit were the final components of the expansion plan.
