At the store's grand opening celebration last month, guests and customers chatted about the anticipated arrival of the new line.

ModernDomicile is a contemporary full scale design studio. The new showroom is located in the commercial annex of Admiral's Walk Condominium waterfront community. The interior design store was renovated from a drycleaner's space into a striking showroom in six short weeks.

Invited guests, at the opening event, included clients, residents of Admiral's Walk, and business partners. Guests enjoyed sparkling wine and hors d'oeuvres, including cheese and fresh fruits.

Guests mingled amidst unique furniture in the eco-friendly design studio. A young couple, Nick and June applauded the pieces in the showroom. "Everything's kind of well made," said Nick, "and the prices are reasonable. I've been in places in Manhattan where similar items are double or triple the prices."

ModernDomicile caters to both residential and commercial clients. Christine Iannaccone, a hairdresser at R Salon, a current business client, stated the salon being renovated is now more comfortable and functional. "The service is very personalized," she added.

Marie Fox, a longtime resident at the North Tower was pleased with the accessible store and items for sale. "I love everything," she said. She made plans to return to purchase some items for her den.

The party ambience was accented by light music and lively conversations.

In addition to Calvin Klein Home collection, ModernDomicile has an established partnership with a variety of furniture and accessory manufacturers. Store hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 10a.m. to 7p.m., Friday 10a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11a.m. to 6p.m. Late appointments are available upon request.
