Minus Completes Acquisition Of Minus.Com Domain Name

New York (I-Newswire) July 28, 2011 - Minus, which helps users easily and quickly share files online - pictures, documents, music, videos, and more - announced today it has acquired the Minus.com domain name. The sharing service previously used Min.us as its primary domain name, which although short, can be confusing for some users.

"Minus was founded with the philosophy that sharing media online should be simple, fast, and universal. While we love our Min.us name, over time, this name has caused confusion for new users," said John Xie, co-founder of Minus. Although Minus will use Minus.com as its primary domain name, Min.us will still be fully functional, and Minus will still provide Min.us shortlinks to share files.
