Midwest Applied Technologies Site Saver A Huge Success at Annual WBT Showcase

Midwest Applied Technologies, creator of Site Saver, the latest in vascular access technology was selected to present at WBT Showcase in Arlington, Texas.

(I-Newswire) March 29, 2010 - March 29 2010| Arlington, TX – Midwest Applied Technologies was among the over 90 top technology innovators from across the nation and around the world competing in Arlington, Texas, March 16-17 for top honors at WBT2010 presented by Lockheed Martin.

Midwest Applied Technologies’ Site SaverTM technology, which aligns and secures IV’s, was rigorously screened and mentored by WBT commercialization experts to present to a sold-out WBT2010 audience of over 600 participants including venture capital investors, federal agencies and licensees.

“The word is out that for investors, federal agencies and licensees seeking emerging technology opportunities, WBT offers the best deal flow in the nation,” said Paul Huleatt, WBT’s CEO. “We look forward to watching the progress of our WBT2010 presenters.”

According to Mr. Huleatt, approximately 1/3 of past WBT presenters have gone on to secure venture capital or a licensing/strategic partnering agreement. To date, past presenters have raised over $450 million in first (or next) round venture capital.

Bob: “Although the awards were distinctive, we felt we had already won in the days prior to the event, with 2 hospitals and a nursing home in Texas moving to evaluate the Site Saver in their systems. We were again a very popular booth, drawing groups of people from many industries and entities all showing very excited interest in the product(many with personal stories of mishaps with their own IV’s).”

Mr. Huleatt highlighted that the companies groomed to present at WBT leave with new knowledge and contacts to take their technologies to market and beyond.

Bob: “In the few days since the event, we have been in contact with numerous companies and government agencies(including the Department of Defense, NASA, U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research, and Center for Innovation @ Arlington & Office of the Governor of Texas) that have expressed interest and would like to help advance the technology. We are already doing paper work to begin some of the military processes, and will be evaluating other options as they become available.”

About Midwest Applied Technologies:
Midwest Applied Technologies is a “new concept development” company committed to “the enhancement of the human experience through infinite technologies”. Our goal is to help in the development and fast track of new products or ideas to market. An example of this is the Site Saver, a completely new concept in the medical field of vascular access, with the H-400 model being the first in a line of high tech new options for health care technicians to help improve patient outcomes.

Defining a plan to complete the path to the marketplace in a timely manor is crucial to the profitable outcome of any new venture. No single entity can claim to complete all the tasks necessary to fully develop an entirely new concept from idea to market. Making the “right” decisions at the “right” time, and using the “right” people, products or materials “WILL” make the difference between growing a great idea and spending a lot of money and loosing one.

We have instant access to professionals from product development, manufacturing to legal and marketing, “securely” taking your idea through the steps to safely procure the most beneficial process and people.

Every new idea deserves a chance to grow. Here at Midwest Applied Technologies we dedicate our very best to ensure your idea gets its chance in life. We believe there are no bad ideas, just ideas that have been passed up.
