MGI Scholarship 2012 - To Outstanding Performers
This scheme of scholarship by MGI is a step taken by the college to help those students who are highly qualified, however need some financial help to pursue their higher studies.
Online, March 20, 2012 (Newswire.com) - MGI, Pune - Mulshi Group of Institutes offers scholarship to students pursuing Management studies for the academic year 2012 - 2013. Internationally renowned for its quality education, MGI announces the scholarship for 20 students including those from defence background, to pursue their higher education who have achieved outstanding performance in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.
In accordance to the Right to Education Act by the Government of India, MGI is making its humble contribution to the nation building efforts by announcing a Scholarship Scheme for all deserving students. The scholarships will be given away to the most eligible students on the first come first serve basis. It will be offered in the form of a financial aid to students in the tuition fee which will be spread evenly over two years.
Though the financial benefit is justified when offered to students in need, it is mandatory for applicants to fulfill the prerequisites stated by the college administration. The selection is not only based on the outstanding scholarly achievements but also on their attitude and commitment towards their work.
The students with the scholarship will always gain an advantage when it comes to recruitment as they have already proven their scholastic calibre to order to earn the scholarships.
The academic excellence to be the recipient of the scholarship is as follows:
A mandatory 75% in English in 10+2
Overall marks of 65% in graduation
Scholarships of 5% available for wards of Defense officials who do not qualify for other scholarship categories.
Performance in GD and PI held only for admissions in 2012 will be considered
The scheme announced by MGI award the scholarship based on the students performance in MAT or CAT
MAT Percentile - CAT Percentile - Scholarship
Above 95% - Above 90% - 75%
Above 90% - Above 85% - 50%
Above 85% - Above 80% - 25%
Above 80% - Above 75% - 10%
Students with outstanding performance in sports and athletic events recognized by Sports Authority of India are also eligible for the scholarship. Such students must fulfill the following criteria:
Represented State in National Event: 5% relaxation in cut-off and 25% scholarship
Represented Country in International Event: 10% relaxation in cut-off and 50% scholarship

50% scholarship: 2
25% scholarship: 7
10% scholarship: 10
