Economic background indicates a successful show launch

Factors such as rapid urbanisation, higher disposable incomes as well as the above-average growth of sectors like hospitality and real estate are key drivers of the home decor and accessories market and, thus, pointing to the significance of having an Ambiente event in India. According to a 2012 study by BRICdata, India's interior products industry is expected to reach a value of US-Dollar 48.5 billion by 2016 (at an annual growth rate of 11.34 per cent). Also, the consumer class, which is estimated to grow twelve-fold from approximately 50 million (2013) to 585 million by 2025 , is drawing global attention; not just because of its sheer market volume but also because of the tectonic shift in the nature of demand. Aspiring towards a better lifestyle, Indian consumers have demonstrated an increased appetite for interior decoration products, a trend increasingly reflected in their homes.
