Merrill Corporation Announces Appointment of Regional Director for Spain & Italy

Merrill DataSite has been actively involved in the Italian and Spanish markets for some time now and anticipates that the need for Virtual Data Room (VDR) services will grow significantly in these markets in coming years. With the appointment of Mr. Alvaro Ortega, Merrill DataSite will now have on-the-ground local presence in these regions. Alvaro is also supported by a team of highly experienced native speaking Spanish and Italian Project Managers.

Alvaro Ortega brings with him almost 10 years experience of international financial markets, having worked for Putnam Investments in the United States as a Portfolio Analyst, and as Senior Investment Accountant for PNC Global Fund Services. Upon completion of his MBA from ESADE Business School, Alvaro moved to London and joined Bloomberg LP as an EMEA Data Solutions Sales Manager. After some years, Alvaro was promoted to the role of Global Key Accounts Sales Manager where he strengthened the relationship between Bloomberg Data Solutions and a number of Tier 1 Investment Banks at a global level. Alvaro, a Spanish native, is fluent in a number of languages including English, Italian and Catalan.
