Meeting Demonstrates Portable Restrooms Are Critical to Worldwide Sanitation Effort
Johnny on the Spot, Inc. Portable Restrooms & Temporary Fencing hosted 3s India, a Saraplast Enterprise, for a 3 day information sharing visit allowing the two portable sanitation companies to collaborate on various aspects of their organizations.
Old Bridge, NJ (I-Newswire) December 18, 2013 - Rajeev Kher, Founder & CEO of 3s India along with two key employees, visited the New Jersey based Johnny on the Spot, Inc. for a 3 day informal information sharing meeting where the two companies discussed the challenges and opportunities that exist in their respective markets. Jesse Thompson, President of Johnny on the Spot, and Kher serve on a committee together within the Portable Sanitation Association International (PSAI) where a synergy was developed and ultimately led to the meeting. Thompson said of the information exchange, "The cultural differences were compelling and operational challenges similar. It was a pleasure to help the 3s staff members understand our operations." Thompson was also impressed with many aspects of the 3s operation as well, particularly their internet presence and aggressive growth projection.
After the visit Kher shared several thoughts regarding the visit. "JOTS is one of the most well managed privately owned companies I have ever seen. The JOTS team was enthusiastic and cooperative throughout our visit, providing complete access to their facilities and willingly shared their knowledge. We hope to emulate the foundation of their company in the form of high employee morale, faith in the team to perform, ethics, humility and growth fueled by customer satisfaction, " said Kher.
Perhaps the biggest take-a-way was the 3s commitment to combine sound business goals with a goal to provide progressive change for India's population. Over 54% of Indians still relieve themselves in the open, which is directly responsible for a wide range of health and public issues. 3s secured third party humanitarian funding for several pilot programs which bring portable sanitation to locations without sanitation, including the slum. This commitment to their country's well being was incredibly inspiring to the Johnny on the Spot team. "I am extremely proud of my staff's eagerness to share experiences with our visitors during peer-to-peer exchanges. We all learned something," Thompson said after the visit. The meeting was so enlightening that a future visit to India is likely for the Johnny on the Spot team.
Both companies embrace World Toilet Day (www.worldtoiletday.org) which recently took place on November 19 and are working to promote the benefits of portable sanitation on a daily basis. Both companies will be heavily involved in the promotion of the inaugural World Portable Sanitation Day on August 15, 2014.
Johnny on the Spot, Inc. (JOTS) began in 1957 with septic pumping, and added portable sanitation units in 1970. Since that time, "The JOTS Difference" has been revered as one of the nation's most progressive providers of portable restrooms, luxury restroom trailers and temporary fencing. JOTS has been continually recognized by trade organizations and local government for its state of the art facilities, top quality products, expert service technicians with incentives for perfect service, and the development of service vehicle specifications which are now considered the industry standard nationwide, consistent client customer satisfaction and community involvement.
