Medix Staffing Solutions Expands IT Division into Additional Offices

Lombard, IL (I-Newswire) July 29, 2011 - Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the Professional Services, Life Sciences, Healthcare and Information Technology industries, has advanced the expansion of its Information Technology division into additional Medix offices in order to better service its customers and become a fully national player in the IT market.

Medix launched its IT division in March of 2009, piloting the division from the company’s headquarters in Lombard, Ill. Since the inception of the division, the company has tripled the number of internal IT recruiters and account managers and officially launched the division in additional Medix offices, with continued expansion into more markets planned for the future.

The initiation of Medix’s IT division came in response to needs from clients within the company’s other staffing verticals, according to Eric Born, Director of Medix IT. “With our healthcare customer focus, we experienced increased requests for HIT professionals with an understanding of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Meaningful Use,” said Born. “We understood the market demands for these positions would dramatically increase as hospitals and physician practices planned their EMR implementations.”

What started out as a division focused largely on HIT, Medix has developed into a division equipped to handle all verticals of the IT industry and recruit in markets across the nation. Born has placed an emphasis on knowledge expansion and professional growth for his team, and he encourages all employees in his division to research and share information from IT thought leaders in order to become experts in all facets of the industry. “We originally formalized Medix IT to leverage our healthcare customer base and match it with our expertise in recruiting HIT professionals nationwide. Now we have the ability to assist our customers’ staffing and recruiting needs in Applications, Infrastructure and Communications positions in all vertical segments,” said Born.
