MCSD Sharepoint 2013 Certification

While the exact requirements for Sharepoint 2013 certification are still in development, Microsoft has already released some details and suggests the Developer Certification will require a total of four exams.

Microsoft has already released details and a track for IT professionals looking to certify on Sharepoint 2013. However - the exact certification requirements and exams for Sharepoint 2013 are still in development. At this point Microsoft is suggesting the new Sharepoint 2013 Developer Certification which will require a total of four exams. The suspected title of the certification will be something similar to MCSD: Sharepoint 2013 Developer. MCSD: Sharepoint 2013 developer certification requirements will most likely require 2 web developer exams and two Sharepoint Developer specific exams.

The 70-480 HTML 5 Programming with Java Script and CSS3 is believed to be one of the required exams for Sharepoint 2013 developer certification. I suspect 70-486 Designing ASP .NET 4.5 MVC Web Applications will be the second exam. While I can find no direct evidence from Microsoft or any blog suggesting the 70-486 is the second exam - it seems logical as I doubt Microsoft will develop a dedicated web programming certificate specific only to the Sharepoint Developer certification.

Microsoft Gold Learning provider - Certification Camps offers a 10 day training and certification program which covers the objectives of both 70-480 and 70-486. Additionally 70-487 is tested in this camp. With these 3 exams - students will achieve the MCSD: Web Applications 4.5 certification. So anyone needing these two Microsoft certifications as a requirement for Sharepoint Developer - it makes sense to take the final course and exam to achieve the MCSD certification for Visual Studio 2012. You can find complete details on the MCSD: Web Applications 4.5 at this link Click Here.

Without a doubt, Microsoft is investing heavily in the certification realm. Microsoft recently redesigned the entire Microsoft Learning Portal and is very focused on certification as part of training. Hopefully Microsoft will release more information on this certification in January.
