Mary Hall Freedom House, a nationally recognized leader in residential substance abuse, celebrates 15 years of comprehensive treatment to more than 3,000 women and children in the Atlanta area with the IMAGINE Gala.

Atlanta, GA (I-Newswire) October 19, 2011 - Mary Hall Freedom House, a nationally recognized leader in residential substance abuse, celebrates 15 years of comprehensive treatment to more than 3,000 women and children in the Atlanta area with the IMAGINE Gala. The event, which marks the 15th anniversary and the organization’s largest annual fundraising event, will be held Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Mary Hall Freedom House, 200 Hannover Park Road, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30350.

“Our mission,” said Lucy Hall, founder and CEO of Mary Hall Freedom House, which is named in memory of her mother, “is to free women and women with children by empowering them to break the cycle of addiction, poverty and homelessness.”

“The success we have experienced is cause for great celebration, but also underlines the sad truth that our services are greatly needed here in Atlanta,” continued Hall, who is the recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award, the Robert Wood Johnson Community Health Leadership Program, Sandy Springs Atlanta Urban League Community Service of the Year and recognized as an Allstate Give Back Day Hero.

Matt Pearl of 11 Alive presides as host for the IMAGINE Gala, while the night, while Freedom Rings, an all-female choir composed of Mary Hall Freedom House graduates and clients is set to close the event. The program will highlight testimonials from Mary Hall Freedom House graduates and current clients and parting words from actress, singer, songwriter, model and dancer Demetria McKinney. The evening will also include hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a raffle for a spectacular piece of jewelry and a silent auction, featuring four tickets to the 2012 US Open Golf Championship at the Olympic Club in San Francisco; four tickets to the 2012 US Open Tennis Championship in New York; a pitching clinic from former Atlanta Brave, Mark Wohlers; and a weekend getaway to Hotel Telluride in Telluride, Colo.
