Margarita Mashup In Connecticut

Connecticut's Summer Kickoff Party, "Margarita Mashup" hosted by Varkity Music Group

Last night, Connecticut's official 2012 summer kick-off party "Margarita Mashup" was hosted by CT's most influential personas, Varkity Music Group!

Varkity teamed up with Dolphin's Cove (Bridgeport, CT), high-end Portuguese restaurant by day and newly summer hotspot by night, to continue it's 5 year run of "Seaview Sundays."

Seaview Sundays has been a staple in summer nightlife for Connecticut party-goers since 2008. Slowly building up it's reputation, it has now finally reached it's pinnacle with Varkity's takeover of the "Margarita Mashup" party.

"We wanted to keep the same vibe of the annual event but put a Varkity twist on things." said Jonathan Rodrigues, CEO of Varkity. He goes on to describe that the 'Varkity twist' included "Go-Go dancers dressed in bondage, super-soaker margarita guns, jet ski valet service..." and tons more.

The "Margarita Mashup" party took place last night at Dolphin's Cove, 241 Seaview Avenue Bridgeport, Connecticut. Doors opened at 8PM with a line of 800+ party-goers anxiously waiting to come in. Admission was $20. Women received free margaritas all night long. The Dolphin's Cove bar even made a specialty drink for the night named the "Varkity Margarita Mashup."

KC 101.3 streamed live all night long alongside local resident DJs; Rob Newberry and GRUV while they provided tunes to keep the crowd fist pumping the night away.

Following the Mashup party the young label owner, Jonathan Rodrigues, reportedly did not end his night in Connecticut. Jonathan and his friends made their way to Amnesia nightclub in New York City where there was a Summer Jam after party occurring. A list rapper TYGA was in attendance alongside some of his YMCMB label mates.
