Starting Monday February 22, Make It Ruby unveils a brand new look and will feature over one hundred DIY projects with an emphasis on sustaining the environment. Full of fun do-it-yourself projects, Make It Ruby is a positive outlet for self-expression and confidence-building for tween girls.

“When I was a young girl my grandmother encouraged me to express myself through arts and crafts which laid down the foundation that gave me confidence to achieve life goals,” comments Make It Ruby co-founder Joie Gharrity. “My dream has always been to help young girls find their creative voice. Make It Ruby incorporates my two passions creativity and taking everyday objects that typically would be thrown away and making them into valuable and fun DIY projects.”

Gharrity, a former manager in creative development for Disney-ABC Television Group’s Stage 9 Digital Media, partnered with long-time friend John Frazier for the venture. Frazier, an art director and stylist who has worked for companies like JC Penney, Land’s End, Kellwood, and others, is the creative director for Make It Ruby. “We like presenting cutting edge projects that are green inspired. We always put a unique and different twist on each project that won’t break the bank.”
