Major Recall of Beef Products Issued by USDA
Approximately 16,000 pounds of fresh and prepared meat products possibly tainted with E-Coli
Washington, DC (I-Newswire) February 6, 2014 - PFP Enterprises of Fort Worth, Texas has issued a recall of nearly 16,000 pounds of beef products citing possible contamination of E. coli O103, E. coli O111, E. coli O121, E. coli O145, E. coli O26 and E. coli O45. The recall was announced by U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on February 4.
The following is a list of products affected by this recall:
Beef Outside Skirt Steak, pack date 12/13/13 - 10.5-pound boxes
Studio Movie Grill Beef Tenderloin Sliced, pack date 12/05/13 - 20-pound boxes
Pre-seasoned Fajita Beef, use by date of 1/13/14 - 15-pound boxes
Southwest Style Beef Skirts, pack date 12/5/13 40-pound boxes
Patterson Food Processors Beef Skirt Seasoned, pack date 12/9/13 - 20-pound boxes
Pre-seasoned Fajita Beef, pack date 12/9/2013 -10-pound boxes
Pre-seasoned Fajita Beef with Binder, pack date 12/9/2013 - 40-pound boxes
Seasoned Fajita Beef, 6x 2-pound packages, use by date of 1/15/14 - 12-pound boxes
Mexican Style Fajita Beef, 6x 2-pound packages, use by date of 1/11/14
The products have a USDA mark of inspection establishment number of Est. 34715. All products were produced on just one day: Dec. 5, 2013. They were distributed to various retail stores and restaurants in the states of Arizona, Texas, and Oklahoma as well as locations in Puerto Rico.
There are no reports of illness associated with the consumption of the affected products at this time.
