Luxury Garden and Landscape Designer Bowles & Wyer Purchase Workspace Mini

Nottingham (I-Newswire) November 29, 2010 - Bowles and Wyer is a landscape designer specialising in luxury garden design, country estates and landscape architecture and construction. They have purchased Workspace mini from Union Square Software to introduce control over procedures and reduce duplication of information and documents within the practice.

The major problems that led Bowles and Wyer to look for a new system were duplication of data and control over procedures. Design and Marketing Director John Wyer comments, "Drawings would come into the business via email and multiple copies would be saved on different drives by different people. We were running out of server space and as a result systems were running slow." People were fairly good at following procedures and individual processes worked well, however systems were not joined up. "We had a situation where we had to retrieve a large amount of project data, the process took a considerable amount of time away from project work and made us realise a centralised information source was essential if we wanted to move the business forward and eventually grow."

John had been looking for a while at various systems to tie information together, however none of them solved the key issues that they faced.
