Lucent Technologies Signs a New Frame Agreement with Telekomunikacja Polska to Deliver Broadband Access Systems for Neostrada TP

Under this new frame contract announced today Lucent will be delivering its Stinger® (DSL) access systems from Lucent"s Accelerate™ Next Generation Networking solutions portfolio, as well as related installation, commissioning, integration and technical support services from Lucent Worldwide Services (LWS). Stinger® access concentrators form the basis of TP"s "neostrada tp" and "Internet DSL tp" broadband access offers for enterprise and residential customers, enabling high-speed internet access as well as providing base for the future introduction of new services, allowing subscribers to benefit from simultaneous access to internet, voice and video (IP TV, video on demand).

The Lucent access platform was tested last year by TP"s development department, CBR (Central Bureau for Development) as a base for the planned introduction of new triple-play services, such as Voice over IP, Video over DSL etc. At the end of last year Telekomunikacja Polska announced its plans to conduct, in the first quarter of 2005, trials of its IP TV offer among "neostrada tp" subscribers in Warsaw and Wroc³aw. TP expects to have first commercial users at the end of the year.
