Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research’s Fall Art Benefit offers an afternoon of art appreciation and auction, wine, and hors d’oeuvres at the Andrew Weiss Gallery in Beverly Hills, California.

Los Angeles (I-Newswire) October 21, 2010 - The Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research (IMBCR) is pleased to announce their Fall Art Benefit will take place on Sunday, November 7th, 2010, at the Andrew Weiss Gallery in Beverly Hills, CA. The event will be hosted by IMBCR’s Medical and Scientific Director, James R. Berenson, MD and feature an afternoon of art appreciation, auction, wine, and hors d’oeuvres.

The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $75 and are available at the event or online at: www.imbcr.org.

The event will feature the exhibition, “Becoming Marilyn” the world’s most in depth collection of Marilyn Monroe photographs shot by famed Hollywood photographer, Bill Carroll. Spanning her short 17 year career these images reveal the dramatic metamorphosis and captivating story of a young model turned Hollywood legend. Also featured, the 20th Century Masters’ Collection with original works by Picasso, Miro and Dali.

It is estimated that more than 1,000,000 people are living with multiple myeloma, a rare cancer that is found in the bone marrow. IMBCR’s research has produced significant breakthroughs in the treatment and care of myeloma patients extending both quality of life and lifespan. Proceeds from IMBCR’s Fall Art Benefit will fund IMBCR’s ongoing research.
