(I-Newswire) March 2, 2010 - Goodfella’s Brick Oven Pizza of Staten Island is set to defend their International Pizza Expo – 2009 Worlds Best Pizza Title against 120 competitors from around the Globe at the Las Vegas International Pizza convention. The action takes place from March 2nd-4th.
10,000 participants will attend the World’s Biggest Pizza Show featuring the best of the United States, Canada and Europe in a 4 day cook off between 120 of the World’s Best Pizza makers to determine who is “the Best of the Best”?
Competition is fierce for the 10,000 dollar prize and Scot Cosentino(the reining World Champion and founder of Goodfella’s) is preparing to defend his title with two of his up and coming Pizza Men. Representing the Victory Blvd. location will be Andy Scudera with Abe Collins for the Hylan Blvd. location. Scot’s take on it is that “the contest can make you feel like Rocky going against the other contenders and that it is important to have your recipes down “cold” and practice, practice, practice so that when it counts, your performance becomes automatic and you don’t get flustered under the tremendous pressure and distraction from the crowd.”
