Local Graphic and Webdesigner Goes Back to Her Roots with Traditional Art for One Year

Murfreesboro, TN (I-Newswire) February 21, 2012 - Local graphic and web designer, Karen L. Burton - owner of Poodles Doodles, a Murfreesboro based creative services firm - has decided to take her art back to its roots for one year. From now until February 1st, 2013 she will produce a minimum of one piece of traditional art per day and upload each piece to her newest website, www.365drawingsbykaren.com. Karen is doing this in an effort to enhance her skill-set and get back to basics.

When asked why she was doing this, she says;
"I thought it would be really interesting to see how my skills develop over the course of a year, and by using a blog will offer me the ability to gain helpful criticism and feedback, while also giving me an element of accountability and responsibility to an expecting audience. I hope to write a book on the experience next year."

People don't realize how much traditional art is involved in the digital world, the use of line, shape, structure, composition; these all matter, even in the digital world of the Internet. Getting back to basics is just one way to focus on these time-tested techniques.

She is also looking for participation from other local artists who would like to be featured on her site in the form of interviews, art submissions and critiques. Proper credit will be give to all art submissions.
