Power and Associates recently released the results of their annual survey for 2011 that measures how gratifying a new vehicle is to own and drive; the results of this study ranked two Honda models as leaders in their respective classes. An annual survey, the J.D Power and Associates’ Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) study, assesses how satisfying a new vehicle is to own and drive. Based on the opinions of current owners in 90 different vehicle attributes the J.D. Power and Associates APEAL study ranks the vehicles in ten different categories. These categories are Fuel Economy, Engine, HVAC, Vehicle Interior, Audio/Entertainment/Navigation, Seats, Storage, Visibility, Vehicle Exterior, and Driving Experience. The winners of the segments are based on a rating in five categories; Overall Performance and Design, Performance, Comfort, Features and Instrument Panel, and Style.

The 2011 Honda Ridgeline was ranked the highest in the Midsize Pickup category. Unlike other pickups in its class the Honda Ridgeline is only available in a four-door body style with a short pickup bed. With standard all-wheel drive and a 3.5-Liter V6 engine the 2011 Ridgeline has a 5,000 pound towing capacity. The Honda Ridgeline earned a perfect score in all five of the overall categories. The 2011 Honda Ridgeline also earned a top spot in its segment in the J.D Power and Associates 2011 Initial Quality Study.
