A local Subaru car dealer has taken a strong supportive role in helping Baltimore's homeless pets receive care and find forever homes.

Valley Motors Subaru has partnered with Baltimore Humane Society as part of the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Subaru of America's national year-end Share the Love campaign. The no-kill animal shelter and Cockeysville automobile dealer are counting on the community to open its hearts and help put an end to animal homelessness in the community.

A donation drive being held from now through December 14th has the goal of "Filling a Forester with Love" and supplying Baltimore Humane Society with much needed supplies for the no-kill shelter in Reisterstown.

The drive culminates on December 14th with a final push for the Donation Drive and an Adoptathon at Valley Motors Subaru of Hunt Valley in Cockeysville. Both in-kind and monetary donations are critical for the survival of the area's no-kill shelter, and so of course, is the adoption of the dogs and cats to loving, forever homes. Baltimore Humane Society receives no operational funding from local or federal governments or any national animal welfare organizations, making the support of the community essential for its survival.

"We here at Subaru love our pets," said Charles Fenwick, president of Valley Motors Auto Group. "In fact, an estimated 70 percent of Subaru owners have pets; more than any other auto manufacturer. It is important that we support the efforts of no-kill animal shelters like Baltimore Humane Society whose mission is to end the homelessness of so many of our community's animals."
Donations can be brought to Subaru of Hunt Valley any time between now and December 14th. The final day for collections will be on Saturday, December 14th when the community can also stop by the Cockeysville dealership, get a custom pet tag, and meet some of adoptable dogs and cats from 11am to 3pm.
Priority Wish List items include:

Monetary donations can be made online at Baltimore Humane Society's website at http://www.bmorehumane.org/donate/contribute. For a complete wish list and more information about the event go to: http://www.subaruofhuntvalley.com/subaru-event.htm
