Little Italy San Jose will be honoring prominent Italian Americans from Santa Clara County on banners on the light poles of Little Italy San Jose. We will be hosting a Silent Auction honoring several banner recipients. The Event is free to attend.

Little Italy San Jose office - 350 west Julian Street, san Jose, CA 95110 (I-Newswire) June 11, 2011 - Little Italy San Jose will be honoring prominent Italian Americans from Santa Clara County on banners on the light poles of Little Italy San Jose. We will be hosting a Silent Auction honoring the following banner recipients.

John DeVincenzi - Art will be auctioned off from the "Father" of the San Jose Museum of Art

Al Ruffo - 49ers memorabilia will be auctioned off from the founding partner of the 49ers and former mayor of San Jose,CA

Umberto Abronzino - San Jose Earthquakes and Oakland A's memorabilia will be auctioned off from the USA Soccer hall of fame athlete.

In addition there will be auction items donated by AG Ferrari foods, and Goia Italian arts and crafts. Artisan Italian foods will be served and wine and beer will be available.

Little Italy San Jose is a 501c3 Organization that is rebuilding San Jose, California's original Italian Settlement. Little Italy San Jose is fostering the Italian Culture in the Bay Area, supporting historic rennovation of homes from the late 1800's and early 1900's, and redeveloping a blighted neighborhood.

Little Italy San Jose is recruiting Italian Businesses to move into the Italian Business district and is continuing to raise funds through various events and fundraisers and apply for grants to improve the historic Italian neighborhood.
