Lissa Lauria Releases Boys and Girls Music Video - Can a Broken Heart Cause Suicide?
Lissa Lauria, a recording artist, songwriter and actress, who has flown under the radar in Los Angeles and New York for many years, now touches hearts and hopefully saves lives.
Los Angeles (I-Newswire) December 19, 2013 - Ms. Lauria, known for her "Adele meets Taylor Swift" songs and vocals, is now out to make her mark with the first day of her new music video "Boys and Girls" release, garnering over 100,000 views.
Also known for her stand against teen suicide, eating disorders, cutting, drugs, alcoholism and living with low self-esteem, Lissa founded The I AM movement which helps those that find themselves in the black hole that can be created in our minds. The "Boys and Girls" music video attacks suicidal thoughts, head on, due to the heartache of a breakup.
Lissa Lauria is no stranger to the stage, film and music. She grew up in theatre, performing in front of thousands at a very tender age. After she made the transition to Los Angeles with her family, doors quickly opened to her and she began booking roles in films, TV and in commercials as well as performing in infamous venues while working with award winning music producers and songwriters.
Most recently, Lauria booked the lead role in the female comedy-driven film, "Spare Change" from the producers of "Weeds," "Orange is the New Black" and "The United States of Tara." The film will be released in the summer of 2014. Lissa is also attached as the female lead in the paranormal thriller, "The Music Box" which is in pre-production and will begin filming in spring 2014.
This music video, "Boys and Girls," produced by Kim Clement Center, is the first of many to come with her debut EP "Vulnerable" dropping early 2014 which was co-written by Lucy Graves.
