Application Note EX-WDR2000 explains how the upgrade involves replacing only the digital section of the WDR excitation system and can be installed in less than a day.

(I-Newswire) February 11, 2010 - The present and future supportability of the WDR 2000 excitation system is an important concern to provide continued reliability to the more than 150 power plants that installed the unit in 11 countries from the Americas to Asia.

Today, Basler Electric offers a plug-and-play solution - the ECS/ RW. The ECS/RW is designed to mechanically fit into the exact same position as the 19" rack panel and plug into the existing sockets at the back of the panel.

Application Note EX-WDR2000 explains how the upgrade involves replacing only the digital section of the WDR excitation system and can be installed in less than a day. Four bolts are removed and eight plugs are disconnected.

The Application Note is downloadable free of charge from the Technical Resource section of the Basler web site - http://www.basler.com/html/dwnapps.htm. In addition to Application Notes, this section offers easy access to product documentation.
