Republican Club of East Polk County's "Meet the Candidates Night" at Grape Expectations, in Winter Haven better than expected.

(I-Newswire) May 7, 2010 - The Republican Club of East Polk County's "Meet the Candidates Night" at Grape Expectations was better than expected.

Tuesday night's Republican Club of East Polk County's inaugural "Let's Talk Politics - Meet the Candidates Night," conducted at Grape Expectations Wine Bar, drew an overflowing crowd.

Republican candidates running in a variety of Central Florida races met, mingled and talked politics with potential constituents from across Polk County. The May 4th event was the first in a series that are scheduled to take place from May through the November 2010 elections.

Future "Let's Talk Politics - Meet the Candidates Nights" are planned for the first Tuesday of every month. The social get-togethers will take place from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, at the Grape Expectations Wine Bar, 5535 Cypress Gardens Blvd., Winter Haven.

The monthly gatherings are open to the public and will host different candidates at each event.
