Legends of Blacksburg Acquired By Local Developers

Warren Street Partners, LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition and revival of the Legends of Blacksburg, a gated residential condominium development consisting of two and three bedroom units to be built adjacent to the Virginia Tech campus.

Blacksburg, Virginia (I-Newswire) April 20, 2012 - Warren Street Partners, LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition and revival of the Legends of Blacksburg, a gated residential condominium development consisting of 72 upscale two and three bedroom units to be built adjacent to the Virginia Tech campus between Warren Street and Green Street in the Town of Blacksburg Virginia. The premiere location is just 200 yards from Lane Stadium and Cassell Coliseum.

Warren Street Partners, LLC was formed by two local developers, Mark Kinser and James Oliver, for the specific purpose of acquiring and developing the Legends of Blacksburg project which was started by another developer then abandoned a few years ago. The company is comprised of numerous investors, many of whom are Virginia Tech Alumni, including Head Football Coach Frank Beamer, who is also the marketing Spokesperson for the development.

It was a real shame that the original developers ran into problems that caused them to abandon the project, but that created an excellent opportunity for us to step in. Demolition of the existing structures on the site has begun and the architectural plans and engineering are currently being updated. Warren Street Partners, LLC has engaged the services of Gay & Neel, local engineering firm, and Entasis Design, an architectural firm from Charlotte, North Carolina to round out the development team. Actual construction is planned to start in the fall of 2012; however Coldwell Banker Townside is currently accepting reservations and marketing of the project will start immediately. Events are planned later this week in conjunction with the Spring Football Game at Virginia Tech.
