Las Vegas Artist Josh Glover Opens Black Spade Tattoos

New shop is located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas arts district

Las Vegas, Nevada (I-Newswire) September 29, 2011 - Artist Josh Glover has opened Black Spade Tattoos at 124 S. Sixth Street, Suite 130, LV NV 89101 in downtown Las Vegas Nevada. The studio is open Tuesdays through Saturdays at noon, closed Sunday and Monday.

Glover has been an artist in Las Vegas since 1995. During that time, the prolific talent has worked in graphic design, professional graffiti, illustration, and tattoos. He has been a professional tattoo artist since 2007. Glover is the sole owner of the studio, which offers professional custom “New School” tattoos. “My work features fine lines and lots of detail,” he said. “We specialize in designing tattoos that are realistic and detailed, like portraits.”

Glover said he decided to open his own shop after working in-house with other studios because he loves expressing his art through tattoos. “I thought the best way to do that would be in my own environment with my own personal style,” he said.

Also a professional graffiti artist, Glover said he chose the studio’s name “because it is a negative phrase that I want to turn into a positive phrase.” He has infused his love for graffiti with his love for the art of tattoos. The studio invokes a smooth, calm feeling with music including old blues, jazz and 70s funk. “It is a very comfortable atmosphere,” said Glover. “It’s easy to park and we have great customer service. Whether you want to get your first or 50th tattoo, we make sure you are happy with your art. One of the greatest things about tattoos is that everyone interprets them differently. They are a very personal expression of your style and life. We take the time to find out exactly what you want for the perfect tattoo.”
