Landscape Company Prunes Website to Reveal a New, More User-Friendly View

(I-Newswire) March 5, 2010 - Botanical Visions Inc., a landscape architecture, design / build firm servicing South Florida and Orlando is doing some landscaping they don’t usually do. They’re totally redesigning their website: www.botanicalvisions.com.
The redesign comes as a result of the Botanical Visions staff feeling like the old site was too cluttered and that it didn’t allow their customers and potential customers an easy way to find information about the company and its services. The new site has also been redesigned to draw more attention to the beautiful photos Botanical Visions has of some of the landscaping work they’ve done for their customers.
While the old site design showcased an ever-changing slide show of photos, it was a small display that didn’t draw much attention. The new design, however, will have a bigger slide show of pictures that takes up a large part of the site’s homepage allowing the customer or prospective customer to see what great work Botanical Visions is capable of doing.
Another change from the old site to the new is the color scheme and the amount of text being used. While the old site used a color scheme including shades of green, gray, and mauve, the new site will have a much cleaner, crisper look with a white background and dark green text. The text used in the new site design is also less scattered, more organized, and less cumbersome. For instance, instead of listing each staff member and information about their professional experience all on one page and in one long piece of

text as the old site does, the new site has links for each Botanical Visions staff member those viewing the site can click a link and get detailed information about that particular staff member’s professional experience and education without having to scroll through all the other staff members’ information first.
Botanical visions Inc. hopes the changes to their old site’s landscaping will allow their customers and potential customers be able to view information on the site more quickly and have that information delivered to them in a more user-friendly format. If the new site design goes over as well with website viewers as Botanical Visions’ landscaping designs do with their customers, the new site will be a success in no time at all.
