Lais Dentistry will now offer full sedation services for its clients. Visitors will have the option of using NuCalm, Nitrous oxide, oral, or IV sedation techniques.

Texas (I-Newswire) January 25, 2012 - Rogers, AR - Dr. Randy Lais is pleased to announce that Lais Dentistry, the premiere dental clinic in Northwest Arkansas (Dental Implants Rogers AR), will now offer a full-range of sedation services for its patients. Sedation dentistry is the administration of sedative drugs to relax patients during dental procedures. Sedation dentistry is particularly helpful for patients who have a strong dental phobia, have trouble getting numb for procedures, require extensive restorative work or have extremely sensitive teeth. Sometimes patients are so relaxed during the appointment that they don’t even remember the procedures afterwards.

In order to offer his patients the most relaxing and stress-free dental experience possible, Lais Dentistry (Rogers Arkansas Restorative Dentists) offers a wide variety of sedation options. Being one of the few dentists in Arkansas licensed to administer I.V. sedation, Dr. Lais recommends this method as both safe and effective. Patients are able to respond purposefully to verbal commands. Anxious patients are very comfortable during the treatment and usually don’t have any recollection of the procedure the next day. This allows years of neglect to be treated in a fewer number of appointments. For those patients with a fear of I.V.’s, the sedation can be administered orally, as well.

Lais Dentistry also offers NuCalm and Nitrous Oxide services. NuCalm® is a safe, proven system that quickly relaxes you without using narcotics or controlled substances. NuCalm® naturally brings your body to the first stage of sleep. You will feel the same way you feel just as you are about to fall asleep. Nitrous Oxide is an inhalation sedative administered through a mask. Inhalation sedation is safe with no side effects. It is very effective in minimizing gagging as well. It works rapidly as it reaches the brain within 20 seconds. Typically, within 2-3 minutes its relaxation and pain killing properties begin to take effect. These effects are completely gone within minutes of the gas being turned off after your treatment. This allows patients to relax during their treatment, and resume normal activities after their appointment. For those who cannot tolerate any kind of sedation, patients have access to a surgery center for general anesthesia.

“We couldn’t be more excited to offer these services for our friends and patients,” Dr. Lais explained. “I know coming in to see the dentist can be a stressful situation. That’s why I work very hard to do everything I can to make sure my patients are the most comfortable they can be. Being able to come in, get sedated, get the work done, wake up and not remember any of the process is a big relief for our clients. Anything I can do to make your stay at Lais Dentistry better, I can promise I’m going to do. These new services are just one important aspect of that philosophy.”

After having a very successful practice in Missouri for over two decades, Dr. Lais moved his practice to Northwest Arkansas (Northwest Arkansas Invisalign) to be closer to his new home in Rogers and to work more closely with the Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy. This is a group of like minded professionals who are dedicated to providing comprehensive dentistry on highest levels. Dr. Lais has been working with AIDT for over 12 years and enjoys sharing his knowledge of dentistry with community groups.
