Chidi and Chika Nwaogu, founders of Africa's largest and fastest growing social networking website LAGbook yesterday launched their second internet company DateSteady.com
Yesterday, founders of Africa's largest social networking website Ladies And Gentlemen book (popularly known as LAGbook) launched a sister company called DateSteady. The founders created DateSteady, a social dating utility initially as a social dating application on LAGbook, but decided to simultaneously release it as an independent website.
"DateSteady is intended to be a fast, easy, safe, and more convenient way to find a long-lasting, steady relationship online. DateSteady is 100% free social dating utility with no set-up of hidden fee", says Chidi Nwaogu, Co-founder of LAGbook and DateSteady
Chidi continued, "You can get started in less than a minute, search for singles within your age preference and locality. It's easy to sign-up, use, and invite single friends. With DateSteady, permit me to say, online dating has got a lot much steady than it used to be."
"DateSteady is an extension of the dating service LAGbook offers to its registered users since 2011. We started the development of DateSteady as a social dating application on LAGbook, but on the long run, we decided to release it as an independent website entirely", says Chika Nwaogu, Co-founder of DateSteady and LAGbook.
Chika continued, "We intend to use DateSteady to give our LAGbook users a flexible way to extend LAGbook as a social dating utility, and give them one more irresistible reason why LAGbook is the right choice to expand their social discovery experience online. Signups since launch has been impressive. People are responding faster than we expected. If we knew earlier that people wanted DateSteady, we would have rolled it a long time ago".
At the moment, DateSteady is still a Work-In-Progress, though it was fully launched yesterday, and looks "good-to-go", the founders still believe a lot of work has to be done, and significant improvements will be seen on the social dating site from time to time. DateSteady; a sister company to LAGbook is currently hiring. "At the moment, we are looking for content moderators", says Chika Nwaogu.
In just 2 years, LAGbook has become Africa's largest and fastest growing social networking website with over 600,000 registered users and 6,000 daily new-signups.
