Slick Fielder Continues To Make Moves In His Pro Baseball Career

Anaheim (I-Newswire) August 15, 2011 - Trevor Hairgrove is showing the city of Anaheim and the entire baseball world everything he has. Trevor was selected in the 18th round by the Angels in the 2011 MLB draft. Angel scouts saw potential when they noticed his team leading .336 batting average and seventy-two hits in his senior year at the University of California Riverside. With such tremendous potential, The McFadden Agency and Scott McFadden, Director of Baseball Operations, gladly welcomed Hairgrove to their team.

By the end of the 2011 season, Trevor led UC Riverside in batting average (.336), slugging percentage (.453), hits (72), and led the entire Big West Conference in assists (168). He was also named to the ABCA First-Team All-West Region.

After the draft, Trevor began his professional career playing rookie ball with the Orem Owlz. In his first game he made his presence known with a run that led to a 7-6 victory over the Casper Ghosts. Due to his instant success Hairgrove was quickly promoted to the starting shortstop and he began August with a bang with five hits and four runs in the first 3 games. Trevor is pleased with his success and he hopes to continue to advance until he reaches the Majors.
